Writing Blues Lyrics
1.    Choose a topic that will go with blues for example. A breakup love story. A bank robbery gone wrong. Teacher giving too much homework
2.    Follow the formula below for the four lines of each verse of a blues song:
1st Line:State the problem.
2nd Line: Repeat 1st line.
3rd Line: State the solution or the Consequence.

Example Bessie Smith
1st Line: Did you ever sit thinking with a thousand things on your mind,
2nd Line: Did you ever sit thinking with a thousand things on your mind,
3rd Line: Thinking about someone who has treated you so nice and kind?

Notice the rhyme scheme AAB
The syllables are the same number in length

Example Sonny Boy Williamson - So Sad to be Lonesome
1st Line: So sad to be lonesome too much un-con-vin-yon to be alone
2nd Line: So sad to be lonesome too un-con-vin-yon to be alone
3rd Line: But it makes a man feel so good when his baby come back home

Write your own blues song 4 verses in length.
